I’ve been blogging for my first business for a while. It is or was a techy blog aimed at small business owners. I will continue to do some techy blogging here, but I’d like to focus more on the healing aspect of my business. As I will be offering Reiki myself in the near future, I’d like to take the time in this blog to focus on the different types of healing out there and have some guest bloggers in that have small businesses just like yours. This blog will be a way for us to connect on a level that’s not necessarily tech related! And I look forward to sharing my journey with you here as well.
Just as a good introduction, I wanted to give you an idea of my journey, how I got here. I started my business 3 years ago, almost to the day of this post. I originally just wanted to cater to small business owners that were struggling. It was going to be a little more generic in terms of my offerings. I got some clients, but certainly not enough to keep me going.
Early this year (2014) I discovered Law of Attraction. That set off a whole series of events that have, I believe, changed my life forever. As I started to follow and use Law of Attraction, especially the teachings of Abraham-Hicks, my life began to fall apart around me. The business tanked, my marriage ended, I lost pretty much everything I had built up like my house and car. But it set me on a path, an important path. It was the path of becoming a healer like many of you.
It’s been staring at me for a while but it wasn’t until just a few days ago actually, when I went to visit a Theta Healer locally, that it hit me. A big part of this journey for me has been about being me and not just projecting whatever made up image I had of what I should look like to the world. It’s about just being me and allowing those around me to either accept or not accept who and what I am. That’s scary! And I’m sure I’m not the only one going through this. But scary as it is, it’s necessary. It’s absolutely required that I be that which I am, that I project an image that’s consistent with who and what I am. This is what I am. I’m a teacher. I will be a healer and I can help others, like you, make a difference too.
So I invite you to join me on this journey as we work on accepting ourselves and following our own paths. It might be a little bumpy, but I have no doubt we’ll get there. Thanks for joining me!
