Episode 52: Validation and Acceptance
Looking for validation and acceptance in the outside world means we are asking people for their perceptions of us. The truth is those perceptions are always filtered through a level of pain. When people tell you what you should or shouldn’t be doing, it’s because they feel some level of pain or they are triggered by your actions or words.
When you stop looking outside of yourself for validation and acceptance, it means you are able to give those things to yourself first. It frees you to move forward on your own path. It frees you to do your own thing. It allows you to be happy in your own skin and in your own life.
